Falls of Holm (bed and breakfast) is a great base for those visiting Angus on an activity break. 

The roads and hill tracks of Glenisla offer some great mountain biking.  Off road driving, quad biking and clay pigeon shooting is available close by at Auchterhouse Country Sports (http://www.treemac.co.uk/).  For those wishing to experience a real sense of getting away from it all, try a pony trek through the mountains of Glenisla at the Glenmarkie Trekking Centre (http://www.glenmarkie.co.uk/).  

Falls of Holm is also only 40 minutes drive from Glenshee Ski Centre and even closer to the Cairngorm National Park where there is some fantastic cross country ski-ing and winter mountaineering to be found in the winter months.
