The Angus glens is an area famed for its grouse, partridge and pheasant shoots.   There are some excellent shoots in the area of Glen Clova, Glen Prosen, Ballintore,
Cortachy and Airlie (http://www.ayrstalk.co.uk/), all of which are within easy reach of Falls of Holm. 

For those visiting the area for a fishing break the South Esk, the North Esk and the Tay are among the many rivers which are close by.  There are also many trout rivers and lochs in the area - Lintrathen Loch, being only one, a mere 2 miles away.
